Physical indicators that read physical parameters (pressure, temperature and time); Chemical indicators: type 1 – external I.Q of exposure to differentiate processed from unprocessed materials; type 4, 5 and 6 – internal I.Q to evaluate the result of the sterilization cycle inside each unit (package, box, container, etc.); and biological indicators to prove the microbial lethality of the process.
The RDC 15, from ANVISA recommends that it be performed daily in the first sterilization cycle and also in every load that contains implants.
It should only be activated at the time of incubation. Hold the ampoule and press the cap down until you hear a “click”, the seal retaining the culture medium will be broken; shake the ampoule until all the liquid (culture medium) comes down and comes into contact with the spore-carrying strip contained at the bottom of the ampoule; and incubate the biological indicator.
Check if the incubation conditions (temperature and time) are correct, check the viability of the spores and the capacity of the culture medium to promote the germination of the spores.
This color change occurs by changing the pH of the solution, resulting from microbial activity/growth and a failed sterilization cycle. The liquid (culture medium) must not change color, as it is expected that the microorganisms have been destroyed in the sterilization process.
After activating the indicator and before incubation, keep the ampoule in a vertical position (upright), to prevent the liquid from returning and being trapped between the walls of the ampoule. If this occurs, shake the ampoule again so that all the liquid fills the bottom.
The Bowie-Dick test must be performed daily, as recommended by RDC 15, from ANVISA and before the first load processed. After the preheating cycle, write down the identification data on the Bowie and Dick package (autoclave, cycle number and date). Place the pack horizontally in the chamber 10./20CM above the drain and next to the door. Activate the cycle and at the end of it, remove the Bowie and Dick test package and check if the external chemical indicator has changed from pink to brown/black, then open the package, remove and read the results of the alert sheet and the test sheet. Approved result - autoclave released to perform sterilization cycles. Write down the data on the test sheet and record it in the control book.
The Bowie-Dick Test is intended for monitoring sterilization cycles in steam autoclaves where it detects air leaks, inadequate air removal, and steam penetration in vacuum-assisted sterilizers.
Biological indicators are classified as the safest way to monitor sterilization, as their technology consists of applying the spores themselves (dormant bacteria resistant to the sterilization process to be monitored) impregnated in paper strips.
The challenge test pack is a challenging representative of the sterilization process. It is inside it that we insert the ampoule of the biological test with a chemical indicator.

- Verifique se houve queda de energia durante o uso. A queda de energia pode implicar na oscilação da temperatura, que ocasiona a alteração do resultado do processo.

Desligue a incubadora e a impressora e desconecte todos os cabos (cabo de energia e cabo USB). Aguarde 01 minuto, conecte o cabo USB da impressora na incubadora novamente. Ligue a impressora na tomada e aperte o botão "power" até o led azul piscar e, posteriormente, ligue a incubadora novamente.
Desligue a impressora e desconecte o cabo USB da incubadora. Retire a bateria da impressora (compartimento na parte inferior) e após 30 segundos ligue novamente (Reset). Posteriormente, conecte o cabo USB na incubadora.
Atender à RDC 15 da ANVISA, que dispõe sobre rastreabilidade do processo de esterilização.
Exporte o(s) resultado(s) desejado(s) para o pen drive e imprima em uma impressora de sua preferência. Para isso, na tela inicial clique na seta inferior; abrirá a lista (registro) de incubações realizadas. Identifique a incubação desejada e aperte o ícone para salvar em PDF. Após concluído, retire o pen drive da incubadora e conecte em um computador e faça a impressão.
O formato CSV salva arquivos tipo planilha (Excel) e não contempla imagens; em PDF os arquivos são idênticos aos originais, inclusive com imagens.

Certifique-se que não há oscilação de energia na rede de energia utilizada. É recomendada a utilização do equipamento com nobreak/ régua estabilizadora.
A incubadora não tem bateria interna, dessa forma, quando há queda ou oscilação brusca da energia a incubação pode ser perdida. O nobreak assegura o funcionamento uniforme.
Sim, basta configurar a cavidade de incubação com o tempo correspondente ao Indicador Biológico.
É possível realizar a leitura dos Indicadores Biológicos nas cavidades de forma intercalada, desde que seja esterilização por vapor, plasma ou formaldeído, pois a leitura é realizada na mesma faixa de temperatura (60º). Para isso, selecione a velocidade de resposta equivalente ao Indicador Biológico que será colocado na cavidade, e a leitura seguirá normalmente.
Na tela principal, clique na imagem do Indicador Biológico que está sendo incubado; aparecerá uma tela com todas as informações inseridas.
Não, é necessário abortar/ cancelar a incubação e recomeçar todo o processo de cadastro.
